Dear Students,

Welcome to S.H. Ayurveda College — a place where tradition, science, and compassion come together to shape you into skilled and responsible Ayurvedic physicians. Our goal is not only to impart academic knowledge but also to nurture discipline, empathy, practical skill, and a deep appreciation of Ayurveda’s timeless healing wisdom.

To remind us of the qualities of an ideal physician, I share a timeless Sanskrit verse:

“अभ्यस्तविद्या च युक्तः
शुचिर्दक्षः प्रियंवदः ।
आतुरानामनुकम्पी
भिषग्भवति नान्यथा ॥”

Meaning:
One who possesses true knowledge, skill, purity, discipline, gentle speech, and compassion for the sick is truly worthy of being called a physician.

I encourage each one of you to approach your studies with dedication and sincerity. The journey you begin here will not only shape your career but will also enable you to contribute to the health and well-being of society through the profound principles of Ayurveda.
